THE LAND

More than 7,000 contiguous acres in the heart of the Red Hills region --- also known as the "Quail Belt" --- and only 5 minutes from charming downtown Thomasville, Georgia

The property includes more than 7,000 acres of contiguous land and forest.  For over a century, Millpond has been managed with a strict emphasis on bobwhite quail habitat.  During this time-frame, a perfect balance of native ground cover alongside an over-story of towering pines has been created and beautifully maintained.  The landscape is dominated by long leaf pines with a scattering of live oaks, some of them hundreds of years old.

The property includes eighteen quail courses designed for wagon hunts and four quail courses designed for walk hunts.  The property also includes two established dove fields and a fully stocked 85-acre lake.  In addition to quail, there is an abundance of dove, deer, duck, and turkey.  Other sporting opportunities include fishing and the pursuit of wild hogs.  Trap shooting and a sporting clays course help round out the offerings for the shooting enthusiast.
